IDW Publishing
IDW Publishing (acronimo di "Idea and Design Works") è una casa editrice di fumetti statunitense fondata nel 1999, conosciuta per realizzare adattamenti a fumetti di film, serie televisive, cartoni animati e videogiochi. Dal 2018 pubblica l'attuale serie a fumetti di Sonic, basata sull'omonimo franchise giapponese.
Storia
[modifica]Il 21 luglio 2017 Sega annunciò un accordo commerciale con IDW Publishing, due giorni dopo la conclusione di quello con Archie Comics.[1]
La nuova serie è iniziata con un evento di quattro settimane il 4 aprile 2018, durante il quale sono stati pubblicati settimanalmente i primi quattro albi; a partire da maggio è diventata mensile. Lo sceneggiatore veterano Ian Flynn è stato riconfermato come autore principale assieme all'artista Tyson Hesse, entrambi già contributori della precedente.[2] Il 16 gennaio 2018, IDW ha pubblicato una copertina del primo numero disegnata da Tracy Yardley, confermando il suo ritorno dalla Archie.[3]
